Western LGBTQ+ and feminists groups won’t criticize deadly homophobia and misogyny in Islamic countries because that would put them on the side of “colonialism” and white/western supremacy.

I hate to let facts get in the way of a narrative, but quite a few progressive minded people and groups have brought up the global and regional problem of vicious anti-gay intolerance in places like, Palestine.
Also, pot calling kettle black here. The right-wing wasn’t eager to defend the 2nd amendment rights of the transgender community.
Reminds me off….When the documentary came out on Cuba, castro’s prison camp for gays, it was in the days of reagan. Right-wing critics wanted to attack the castro regime, but Reagan and the New Right had a bad gay rights record.
