The future is not hard to predict.
A conservative Christian will ask the bakery to create a cake celebrating the murder of a black transgendered person, the bakery will refuse, the ADF will attempt to force the state of Washington to prosecute the bakery under Wash. Rev. Code §49.60.215, the state of Washington will decline to do so, the conservative Christian complainant will bring a lawsuit against both the state and the bakery, Republican candidates across the country will, with full backing from conservative homosexuals, capitalize on the kerfuffle to energize the Christio-Republican and MAGA-Republican base just in time for the 2022 elections.
Dreher is just setting the stage.
