“Phillips declined to create the cake with the blue-and-pink design because it would have celebrated messages contrary to his religious belief that sex — the status of being male or female — is given by God, is biologically determined, is not determined by perceptions or feelings, and cannot be chosen or changed,” the complaint stated.

I don’t see why Mr. Transgender had to bother to say all that. Just say, “When I came out as transgender.”

“But the Pope commands that we avoid sending mixed messages that support the transgender lifestyle.”

Give gender dysphoric people an ex-trans movement to turn to and I might be more sympathetic.

It exists. It’s called “accepting reality,” or alternately “coming out of the closet.” There are also groups for survivors of religious-based ex-gay therapy; the same principle applies here.

Careful, now. Kitchens have knives. You don’t want to be there when he finally does decide to walk out.

Y’know, I really can’t be arsed to care.

He might win his case. He might not. But a couple of things.

First, this started last year. The fact that we’re only hearing about it now is because his handlers wanted to keep it in their back pocket so they could keep the outrage cycle alive after his first case finished.

Second, he specifically chose a group of lawyers infamous for publicizing and politicizing their cases. Any basic due diligence on his part would have revealed that accepting the ADF as his lawyers would put him on the “self-appointed Christian Martyr” path. So he’s getting what he signed up for.

And third, this probably won’t matter. There are other cases already in the pipeline that will get to the SCOTUS before Phillips ends up back in front of them. It would take a heroic amount of punting on their part for this to not be settled until he’s back there. Then again, they’ve been dodging this issue since Elane Photography, which got started in 2006, so I probably shouldn’t be surprised if they punt until Phillips is again in their court.

Bottom line? The lawyer in this case appears to have actually been harassing him. He’s still an asshole, and still has asshole lawyers. I don’t care about this case.

Anti-gay bigots deserve harassment. When did American gays become so passive? We used to riot in the streets for our rights. We used to deliver justice in the form of a banana cream pie to Anita Bryant’s punam (the one that rightly lost Miss America to Mary Ann Mobley). What happened?

Whereas the Regressive Left is open about its totalitarian aims and goals. There’s nothing conservative about distorting the Torah to promote hatred against God’s gay and lesbian children. This is why LGB needs to cut loose from the T once and for all and never look back.

For some reason, the phrase “the wicked flee where no man pursueth” comes to mind.
