EVERY Pride has had its share of controversy. To say that this year was more politically polarizing is BS, mostly beyond the further erosion of civility, thanks to Trump.

All Trump’s fault? Did you read the posts and linked articles — gay and lesbian writers and advocates make a strong case that gender ideology extremism is not only anti-LGB but responsible for provoking the backlash against LGBTQ+, which includes gay people. But sure, all Trump’s fault.
Nope. I did not even imply that. Please do not put words into my mouth. I said that Trump was certainly a BIG factor in the lack of civility in public discourse. Yes, I did read the articles and posts in question.
Some gay and lesbian writers (some, but not all rightwingers) have NEVER liked the “T” and have been complaining about it since the 1990s (at least back in my younger days). I have expressed my reasonable and common sense-based opinions on the matter here and elsewhere.
