I know I’m not the only one who wonders if I would think differently of such a story if the child’s parents were not transgender?
I believe this sort of transition is acceptable, but that both her parents are transgender makes me think there’s some sort of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy going on. Or even straight Munchausen Syndrome. It’s such an obvious part of human nature.
The other thing that’s part of human nature, and the part I’m “supposed” to say, is the conformity of medical and mental health professionals with the dismantling of safeguards from inappropriate transitions. Just yesterday the New York Post carried a headline about a transgender person who sued their doctor for approving them for transition after one meeting; Libs of Tik Tok posted an expose about Boston Children’s Hospital doing surgical transitions of children, no one knew about that before and some rogue activist on Facebook banned them before her followers were able to raise holy hell about it, etc.
The dismantling of safeguards against abusive and inappropriate transgender care harms everyone. It’s like what Affirmative Action did to African Americans: by bringing down standards, it caused African Americans as a whole to be and feel painted with the suspicion that they didn’t get where they were on their own merits. A transgender, transgender-affirming family shall be painted with a suspicion that they are diseased with Family Munchausen simply because the chances have gone up that they are, regardless of whether or not they are. It doesn’t matter. Liberals solve big problems and create residual problems, it’s a win-win. Sucks to be the person with the little problem when conservatives get back in power and crow about how equal and successful everyone is in America now.
Anyway, someone not me is going to follow this story and find out if that’s true later on and if the child becomes an ex-trans or dies of suicide, vs. just becomes a normal post-trans.

I should have mentioned, that lawsuit was in Australia.

1. I think that – in general – getting kids involved with the fashion industry is a mistake.
2. I don’t really care if the parents are cis gendered or transgender.
3. Their are suppose to be several long steps involved before a dr approves a sex change.
