Christian Coalition Splintering?

I often note how gay groups put big-government left-liberalism ahead of working broadly to advance liberty and legal equality for gay people. But it's interesting to see religious social conservatives upset that the Christian Coalition is forsaking a focused agenda and, in the view of its critics, "drifting to the left" by staking out positions on issues such as support for regulating internet access. Or at least so reports (wishfully?) the L.A. Times.

Again what is a ‘gay issue’? Some gays feel that giving every drunken redneck the right to a nuclear laser cannon is a gay rights issues.

‘Big government’ is pretty much a bs GOP spin word. Both major parties support about the same size of the federal government, with Republicans using it to screw anyone that is not rich, powerful,

    well born and well feed.

Also I dont think most major gay rights groups are opposed to ‘broadly’ but working with the GOP is different from kissing their ass or voting for them.

Libertarians? Greens? Watching the latest Simpsons DVD (1996-1997), and the Halloween episiode has a great storyline about the perils of the two-party system. But it is the sytem that we have.
