Homophobia for progressive messaging is still bigotry …

Absolutely. And political correctness is political correctness.

The film could have used a “bromance” metaphor to mock Trump. It didn’t need to bring out the unicorns. It shouldn’t have, and the NYT should have had more sense.

The NYT is not our ally. In conjunction with the revival of THE BOYS IN THE BAND, they had a story about “disappearing gay culture” along with article after article praising and enabling gay erasure and heterosexual misappropriation of gay culture.

IGF had a thread on the NYT article back in late April. As I recall, you were absent from the discussion. I don’t miss the “disappearing gay culture”. If you do, you probably aren’t old enough to have experienced it.

I didn’t miss the article, just the discussion here. But if you don’t miss it and you have no problem calling anti-gay self-mutilation fetishists “allies,” then you have some serious self-loathing issues you really need to stop projecting on everyone else. I’m glad I missed your overwritten word salad bullshit projecting your bigotry onto gay conservatives. That just verified that as far as I’m concerned, the only gay people I will ever respect at all or consider part of the gay community are gay conservatives. I won’t even date you unless you’re a registered Republican.

Stop telling us what you think we should be outraged by…given T Rump and Vlad’s stated and rigorously expressed Alpha Maleness, their odd relationship is going to draw this sort of abuse…

Heterosexuality is inherently abusive and fascistic. Stop tolerating it.

It’s a pity comments here doesn’t permit photos, or I could show a curated selection of right wing cartoons presenting Ms. Clinton as a violent, man hating lesbian.

If you think that the attacks on Secretary Clinton were homophobic, hang on and wait for the attacks on Jared Polis, who won the Democratic gubernatorial nomination last night.

More whataboutism from the Regressive Left. Yawn.

If the worst you can accuse “progressives” of is acting as bad as “conservatives”, I’m not sure I’m going to care.

To put it simply, “progressives” will continue using weird gay innuendos to insult conservatives so long as conservatives treat weird gay innuendos as insulting.

Which is fundamentally why the occasional mocking “Trump and Putin are gay for each other” stuff gets so much press, but the sincere “President Obama is gay and his wife is a beard” stuff from conservatives never got much traction. Because conservatives/Republicans do care when you call their President gay, and progressives/Democrats really didn’t care if some conservatives/Republicans thought their President was gay.

So y’know how every now and then someone wills at that we need to change both parties to have real “success”? This is part of what they’re talking about. So c’mon gay conservatives/republicans, change your party such that “Trump is gay, lol” isn’t so provocative, and the people trying to provoke you will stop saying it.

So-called “progressives” are worse than conservatives because they’re hypocrites, closet bigots, and abusers. It isn’t conservatives who are pushing a pseudoscientific form of gay erasure and calling it progress. All your attempts to deflect-and-project to anti-conservative fake news pseudo-stories are just more forms of whataboutism. We’re sick of it. Using homosexuality as an insult is never, ever, EVER funny. Privileged heterosexual “men”, especially those of the white race, do not have the right to defame gay people in that fashion.

Hear, hear! All that, and the proclivity for loud homophobic actors to have gay sex scandals…a week generally doesn’t go by without right wing anti GLBT politicians or “faith leaders” to be caught in some sordid Motel Six with an underage youth…

You mean like that anti-child abuse advocate who just got arrested for trying to rape toddlers? I’m pretty sure he is a Regressive Leftist. And with Roy Moore, it was only teenage girls he was accused of being improper towards, no one younger.

Why does the regressive right hate all things decent, fluffy and pure?

Because they all got bit by transgender bunnies.

There is no such thing as the “Regressive Right,” that’s just more Leftist doubletalk projecting their own regressive nature onto those who are smart enough to call them out on your bullshit. You have gay people’s blood on your hands and you don’t care. Why should I believe in “climate change” when you refuse to acknowledge the reality and immutability of biological sex. Why should I support celebrity bullshit supporting gun control when those same celebrities use movies and TV to fetishize the same violent dudebro douchebagism that tears men apart from each other? Why should I support continuing to tax, spend, and regulate the shit out of everything when every city and state that has done that has turned into a ghetto shit hole?

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Trump made a gay man ambassador to Germany and another gay man (and the former head of LCR, no less) into an Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs. It’s not 1992 anymore; update your Regressive Left lying points accordingly.
